Specify CGI when the opening — not the brand story — is hard
Hollywood Beach sliders on A1A, east Boca glass facing the Intracoastal, a high-rise elevation that needs a DP the residential punch list does not list — those are CGI conversations. Sentinel is the aluminum impact line we already describe on this site for high-rise and coastal work. Estate is the finer residential profile. We are not going to invent a third series name to sound complete.
CGI's Miami plant is why oversized and high-load units exist in our bid stack at all. Other makers hit a width or pressure wall; CGI's reputation in this market is that they keep engineering past that wall. That is also why a CGI lead time can outlast an ES Windows aluminum single-hung. If your openings are ordinary, paying CGI-wait for CGI-spec is the wrong move — use PGT WinGuard or ES and keep the calendar honest.
Salt is a hardware problem as much as a glass problem. Coastal CGI jobs get the corrosion conversation (finishes, stainless, rinse habits) that a west Miramar shutter-to-glass swap does not. HVHZ still means a Miami-Dade NOA on the exact configuration. Palm Beach still often accepts an FL#. We pull whichever permit the city wants from 3000 Stirling Rd.
